China International Consumer Goods Fair (CICGF), approved by the State Council, co-sponsored by Ministry of Commerce P.R.C. and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, is the international consumer goods fair with high grade and large scale held in China.

CICGF is held in the famous harbor city of Ningbo June 8-12 every year. Four sessions have been sucessfully held since 2002. Renowned as one of the most important windows of opening up to the outside world in China, Ningbo is an important foreign trade harbor city, with its import and export volume reaching 51.6 billion USD in 2004. The cargo throughput of Ningbo Port exceeded 200 million tons, ranking 2nd in mainland China, and ranking 5th in the world. The container throughput of the year exceeded 400 million TEU, ranking 17th in the world.

The 5th CICGF will be held as scheduled in Ningbo from June 8 to12, 2006. The fair will set up 3000 booths, which will be divided into 6 exhibiting sections: household textiles and garments, electronics and home Appliances, light industrial products, arts and crafts, foodstuffs, overseas exhibits. Well-known enterprises, famous brands and new products from home and abroad will attend the fair. It will be an ideal occasion for guests from all over the world to exchange information and to promote business.
